Ridin' Dirty featured in Nicholas Sparks film "The Longest Ride"- opens Friday 4/10 April 09 2015

Ridin' Dirty is proud to be featured in the new major motion picture "The Longest Ride", based on the best-selling novel by great American author, Nicholas Sparks. The film features ruggedly handsome Scott Eastwood as a professional bull rider working his way through the PBR after a devastating wreck, while navigating his personal relationship with new love played by Britt Robertson.

The opening bull riding scene in the movie, filmed in North Carolina, presents Eastwood's character Luke Collins mounting a comeback after a devastating and nearly life-ending wreck. The scene takes place in an arena filled with Ridin' Dirty branding, surrounded by fans wearing Ridin' Dirty clothing, and Luke's first time mounting a bull takes place specifically in the Ridin' Dirty bucking chute. Our own sponsored athlete Matt Merritt, entertainer for the PBR, is also featured many times in this scene as he entertains the crowd and helps ensure the rider's safety.

Ridin' Dirty CEO Lisa Vanbeek: "We are thrilled to be associated with this great movie and with the impressive history of the Nicholas Sparks book/ film library. Through our longtime relationship as the Official Performance Apparel of the Professional Bull Riders, we were able to get involved in this film in a number of exciting ways. Luke Collins' story is all about the Ridin' Dirty lifestyle and motto: "There are times in life to practice a little restraint... this isn't one of them. This is Ridin' Dirty." Though Luke's character struggles internally with the dangers of his lifestyle, he sees no choice but to go for the gold every time, beyond what most may think is logical. It's a way of life that only some understand... but going for it is what Ridin' Dirty is all about. Being involved in this film, and specifically in this scene, was the perfect marriage between lifestyle, athlete and brand."

We'd like to say a few very special thanks to Nicholas Sparks and his amazing literary agent Theresa Parks for all their kindness and generosity through the process, to director George Tillman and producer Missy Emperado & their entire team for their unique vision and ensuring the Ridin' Dirty branding was represented so well. Also a big thanks to all of our great friends at the Professional Bull Riders without whom, we would have had to wait until opening day to see the film instead of being VIP's at Monday's Hollywood premiere... which we can say was pretty awesome.

The Longest Ride opens in theaters everywhere on Friday April 10.
